Plain-language summary
Purchases cover Quiyo software plans or AI credits supplied directly by Quiyo—not quizzes sold by other users. Refund rights depend on your payment channel, country, whether the service or credits were used, and applicable consumer law.
1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to subscriptions, one-time software purchases, and AI-credit bundles associated with Quiyo. It should be read with the Terms of Service. Mandatory consumer rights always take priority over this Policy.
2. Direct software purchases only
Quiyo is not a marketplace. All paid items are access to Quiyo software features, plan allowances, or AI processing credits supplied directly by Quiyo. Public quizzes are free user-generated content. No quiz author receives payment, commission, revenue share, or payout from your purchase.
3. Your payment channel controls the request
- Paddle or another web merchant of record: use the receipt, subscription-management link, billing page, or the provider’s buyer-support portal. The merchant of record processes the transaction and applies its refund policy and applicable consumer law.
- Apple App Store: Apple controls payment and refund decisions for purchases made through Apple.
- Google Play: Google controls payment and refund decisions for purchases made through Google Play.
- Directly processed transactions: contact support@quiyo.app with the account email and transaction details.
4. Statutory cancellation and withdrawal rights
Some countries give consumers a limited period to withdraw from digital-content or digital-service purchases. These rights vary by country and may not apply after you expressly request immediate access and begin using or benefiting from the product. The payment provider will apply the rights available for the transaction. Nothing in this Policy removes rights that cannot legally be waived.
5. Circumstances that may qualify
Subject to the payment provider’s rules and applicable law, a refund or correction may be considered for:
- a duplicate charge for the same purchase;
- an incorrect amount, currency, product, or billing interval caused by a processing error;
- a payment taken after a properly completed cancellation where renewal should not have occurred;
- AI credits or paid access that were not delivered after successful payment and could not be restored;
- a persistent material defect that prevents access to the purchased features and cannot be resolved within a reasonable period;
- an unauthorised transaction, after appropriate account and payment-provider review; or
- any other case where applicable consumer law requires a refund.
6. Circumstances normally not refundable
Unless required by law or approved by the payment provider, refunds are normally not granted for:
- change of mind after access or use has begun;
- unused subscription time, unused monthly allowances, or unused credits;
- failure to cancel before a renewal date clearly disclosed at purchase;
- dissatisfaction with AI output where the feature was delivered and usable;
- incorrect prompts, quiz settings, answers, scoring rules, or content supplied by a user;
- device, internet, email, browser, operating-system, or third-party outages outside Quiyo’s reasonable control;
- accounts restricted or terminated for fraud, abuse, chargeback misuse, or violation of the Terms; or
- price differences caused by currency conversion, taxes, promotions, or app-store pricing, unless the charged amount was incorrect.
7. Subscription cancellation
You may cancel a monthly or yearly subscription through the billing-management link supplied with your purchase or through the relevant app store. Cancellation stops future renewals and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Cancellation does not by itself refund the current billing period.
Deleting your Quiyo account or uninstalling an app does not automatically cancel a subscription.
8. AI-credit purchases
AI credits are digital usage units made available shortly after payment. They are not cash, stored value, or transferable property. Once credits have been delivered and used, they are normally not refundable except where law requires otherwise. If credits were not delivered, contact support before purchasing the same bundle again.
9. How to request help
Submit the request through the payment channel used for the purchase. Include the account email, transaction or receipt identifier, purchase date, product, amount, and a clear description of the issue. Do not send full card numbers, passwords, or unnecessary identity documents by email.
For Quiyo product troubleshooting, contact support@quiyo.app. For Paddle purchases, the fastest route is normally the receipt or subscription-management link provided by Paddle.
10. Review and processing
We or the payment provider may ask for information needed to verify the transaction, investigate delivery or technical issues, prevent fraud, and determine eligibility. Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method where possible. Bank, card, app-store, and regional processing times may vary. Refunded access, plan benefits, or credits may be removed.
11. Chargebacks
Please contact the payment provider or Quiyo support before initiating a chargeback so the issue can be investigated. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may lead to account restriction. This does not limit your right to dispute an unauthorised or incorrect transaction through your payment provider.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in payment providers, law, or Quiyo products. The version in effect when a transaction occurred will apply unless a later version or applicable law gives you greater protection.
13. Contact
For product or billing questions, email support@quiyo.app. Quiyo is operated by Xyberverse Nexus.
